WHY WE LOVE THIS WINE
A Touriga Nacional/Touriga Franca/Tinta Cao/Sousao blend from the Douro Superior aged 12 months in French oak. Dark and red fruit with violet, chocolate and earthy notes with lovely balance and energy.
ABOUT THE WINERY
Costa Boal Family Estates is a wine producer from Douro and Trás-os-Montes, led by António Boal, heir to a family of small producers established in the Douro since 1857. Created in 2009, Costa Boal launched its first wines in 2011, in Trás-os-Montes. In addition, the company strengthened ties with the Douro, revitalizing the family winery and vineyards, located in the municipality of Alijó.
Among the Costa Boal portfolio are references Flor do Côa and Costa Boal, in the Douro. From the region of Trás-os-Montes, the producer presents the labels Palácio dos Távoras, Quinta dos Távoras and Flor do Tua.
