ABOUT THE WINERY
Campo Arriba is the northernmost vineyard area in Yecla region. It is also the highest, located between 700 & 800 metres high. In these land, best quality grapes mature more slowly due to the great difference between night and day temperatures. Barahonda was founded in 1850 by the Candela family in Yecla a wine DO located in Murcia, south-eastern Spain. The winery remains in family hands and 4th generation brothers Antonio and Alfredo now run the operation. Certified organic from the 2019 vintage the winery produces crisp whites and juicy fruit filled Monastrell based reds.
