Valenciso Reserva Rioja

WHY WE LOVE THIS WINE

100% Tempranillo aged 17 months in French oak barrels (1/3 new). This is a classy, supple and complex Rioja Reserva that unfurls in the glass. Red and blue fruit with lots of toasty notes, hints of mocha, spice, caramel and mineral touches – modern and old style Rioja meet here, with the wine being concentrated yet subtle and retaining a sense of place in the glass.

ABOUT THE WINERY
Valenciso was formed by friends Luis Valentin and Carmen Enciso in 1998. Hence the name Val-Enciso. Ever since the project has been a fantastic success getting lots of great reviews from the international wine press. It all starts in the vineyards where they tend all of the old vines with sustainable practises, and continues into the winery where everything is done with a very light touch. Every vintage we have imported from Valenciso has been of amazing consistence and quality.
